Description
A native, clump forming grass with green leaves which turn a beautiful burnt orange color in the fall. Soft, silvery inflorescences appear in September. In winter, orange color persists and plants will stand up through repeated snows. Height 3-4’.
Andropogon will attracts birds and small mammals to the garden. Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates air pollution and a wide range of soils and growing conditions. May self seed in the garden. Warm season grass. Deer resistant.
