An upright perennial bearing long spikes of white pea-shaped flowers. The seed pods turn a deep black in the fall. Height 2-4′.
Baptisia attracts bees and butterflies. Plants are long lived when established. Prefers dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates poor soils. Deer and rabbit resistant.
