Tall variety with sturdy, dark purple stems and marbled purple and green toothed foliage. This tall variety is an excellent choice for cut flowers and adds a lovely fragrance when added to bouquets. Fragrance is similar to that of Cinnamon basil with a flavor more on the spicy side. Flowers are edible and make a wonderful garnish on salads, drinks, desserts, and more. Height 20-24″.
Basil prefers consistently moist, rich soil and does not tolerate drought. To increase branching and leaf production, pinch back flower buds as they form. Harvest in early morning and store unwashed and refrigerated to avoid brown spots and wilting. Flowers are attractive to bees and make good cut flowers.
