A variety of basil packed with citrus lime flavor. Similar looking to the typical Thai basil except the stems and flower bracts are green. Leaves are pointed, bright green, 2″ long, and have a distinct, tangy lime flavor. A perfect addition to fish dishes or even a garnish on desserts.
Basil prefers consistently moist, rich soil and does not tolerate drought. To increase branching and leaf production, pinch back flower buds as they form. Harvest in early morning and store unwashed and refrigerated to avoid brown spots and wilting. Flowers are attractive to bees and make good cut flowers.
