A densely tufted, warm season grass noted for its inflorescence resembling tiny paintbrushes. The flowers are chartreuse turning into a straw color. The blue-grey grass turns a golden brown in the fall. Height 2-3′.
Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates air pollution and a wide range of soils. Intolerant of poorly drained soils. May self seed in the garden. Warm season grass. PP#22,048.
