Originally discovered in the Himalayas, this Buckwheat was brought to Japan for its beauty. It produces ruby red stems and bright pink-red flowers. The seeds are ground and used in Soba noodles, and the young spouts are eaten as microgreens or used in tea. Excellent as a cover crop, pollinator plant, and cut flower as well.
