Carex woodii (Pretty Sedge)

Clumps of narrow, fine texture, light green foliage with golden to yellow green with white or purple scales flower spikes. Height 6-12".

Carex attracts birds and butterflies to the garden. Prefers dry to moist well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates clay soils. Spreads by underground rhizomes. Cool season grass. Deer and rabbit resistant.
