Bright green leaves that has drooping seed heads that turns to a purplish bronze color in the fall. Height 3-4′.
Chasmanthium attracts birds to the garden. Prefers average, medium to wet well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates poor soil, salts and shade. May self seed in the garden. Warm season grass. Deer resistant.
