Native, evergreen, compact, fine green foliage which is covered in golden flower panicles in early summer. Height 2-4’.
Deschampsia attracts birds to the garden. Prefers average, medium moisture well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates salts, seasonal flooding and a wide range of soils. May self seed in the garden. Cool season grass. Deer and rabbit resistant.
