Echinacea pallida (Pale Purple Coneflower)

Thin, pale pink to purple petals drooping straight down surrounding a bold reddish cone. Height 2-3'.

Echinacea attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Prefers dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerate when established. Tolerates heat, humidity and poor soils. Deadhead to promote new blooms or leave the seed heads for the birds. Deer resistant.
