Groundcover with minute foliage that is tightly bunched together to form a dense mat. Small purple-pink blooms in summer. Height 1-3″.
Thymus attracts bees and butterflies to the garden. Prefers fertile, average to dry, alkaline to neutral well drained soil. Drought tolerate when established. Tolerant of air pollution and poor soils. Intolerant of wet soils. Deer resistant.
