An evergreen, vertical, clump forming rush with bright green stems. Rounded heads of very small greenish brown flowers emerge at the stem just blow the tip. Height 2-4′.
Prefers moist to wet soils. Do not allow to dry out. Tolerates poorly drained soils and standing water. May self seed in the garden. Cool season grass.
