A lovely upright, curled, “red” kale that produces lots of delicious, frilly leaves and takes on the chill of winter with stride! Leaves emerge purplish green and mature to deep reddish purple in cooler weather. Pretty in the flower garden or on the plate. Rich in nutrition and flavor. Height 24-26″.
Kale prefers fertile, consistently moist, well-drained soils rich in organic matter. A cool weather crop, gown best in spring or fall. Light frosts in fall increase the sweetness of the leaves.
