A lovely variety of mint with a fruity flavor reminiscent of apples. Leaves are textured, gray-green, and covered in soft downy hairs. Lavender flowers appear in summer, and the plant benefits from a cutback after bloom to encourage new leafy growth. Delicious fresh or dried in teas.
Culinary mint can be an aggressive spreader in the garden. To prevent unwanted rhizomatous spread, plant in containers or plant within contained soil areas in the garden. Prefers rich moist soil with good drainage.
