A tall, floriferous beebalm with masses of bright, reddish-purple blooms on sturdy, upright plants. Fragrant, dark green, foliage is highly resistant to powdery mildew. Monarda attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Prefers moderately fertile, humus rich, moist well drained soil. Do not all to dry out. Deadhead to promote new blooms. Deer and rabbit resistant. Height 3-4′.
