Mid-sized beebalm with large deep-red flowers and dark maroon bracts atop sturdy upright stems and fragrant dark green foliage. Height 15-24".
Monarda attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Prefers moderately fertile, humus rich, moist well drained soil. Do not all to dry out. Deadhead to promote new blooms. Deer and rabbit resistant.
