Flowering spikes with soft gray color at the top, followed by splendid, purple seed heads. Panicum attracts birds and butterflies to the garden. Prefers average, medium to wet soils. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates air pollution, clay soils, dry soils, occasional flooding and sandy soils. Warm season grass. Deer resistant. Height 3-4’.
