Foliage is dark green, densely bunched and heavily ruffled. Wonderful fresh aroma, great for garnishes, and excellent parsley flavor that is milder than flat-leaf varieties. Host plant for Black Swallowtail butterfly caterpillars.
Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Parsley is a biennial, usually coming back the next year to flower and set seed, but flavor is best the first year. Will self-seed in good conditions.
