Rudbeckia triloba (Brown Eyed Susan)

Bushy, free-flowering, biennial with masses of 1-2" wide, daisy-like golden yellow flowers with flat purplish-brown centers on hairy stems. Thin, rough textured upper leaves are oval to lanceolate and sometimes three-lobed at the base. Height 2-3'.

Rudbeckia will attract bees, birds and butterflies to the garden. Prefers average, organically rich, moist well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates light shade and heat. Deadhead to promote new blooms. Will self seed in the garden. Deer and rabbit resistant.
