Upward facing, trumpet shaped, deep red flowers. Each flower is yellow inside and flares at the top to form a star. Height 1-2'.
Spigelia attracts butterflies and hummingbirds to the garden. Prefers moist, organically rich well drained soils. Tolerates of wet and dry areas. Deadhead to promote new blooms.
