Blue flowers emerge on red tipped buds, gradually fading to light blue. This mat forming rhizomatous perennial with light green crinkled, hairy leaves is great for smothering weeds and makes a great groundcover. Height 12-24″.
Symphytum attracts bees and butterflies to the garden. Prefers average, medium to moist well drained soil. Drought tolerate when established. Tolerates shade and a variety of soils. Deer resistant.
